At the Meadowlands Thursday night, The Stones were impressive in concert. Playing songs over generations, they were in synch, had a ton of energy, (especially Jagger). I grew up with the Stones, starting with ” Get Your Ya Ya’s Out”. Truely a remarkable band, the Stones continue to entertain. For the most part, the only band that has most of its original band mate’s.
In the audience, many grandchildren, children and adults, The Stones transcend time. Kicking off the concert with “Street Fighting Man” and ending with “Satisfaction “, in between was a history of their songs… “Sad, Sad, Sad” from Steel Wheels, Start Me Up from Tattoo You, “Miss You” from Some Girls. Standout songs were ” Gimme Shelter”, “Honky Tonk Woman”, old, but still great. “Sympathy For The Devil” was the best song of the evening, both right and done well, that was clearly the highlight of the evening.
Tonight the stones are at MetLife again, still great and entertaining, they show why they are still the greatest rock and roll band of all time.
